Latest Update Regarding 10th & Class Results

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is keeping the students in dilemma as the result of 10th and 12th class is yet to be declared, the exams of which were conducted in December last year.

“Our result was supposed to be out within 40-45 days but this year it is getting too late,” said Raja Tufail a student of 12th class.

The JKBOSE officials said the result of these classes will be out in the first week of March.

“Process of evaluating the papers is going on, which is a routine procedure. Most probably the result will be out in the first week of March,” Joint Secretary, Administration, Prof. Arif Ahmad Akhoon said.

Students and parents have been raising questions on the unwanted delay in declaration of results which may impact the future of students.

“In Kashmir, due to obvious reasons, students get only a few working days and now this delay will add fuel to fire,” Mukhtar Ahmed a parent said.

A group of students said, “Seeking admission for different undergraduate courses, 12th standard qualification is mandatory.”

Earlier, JKBOSE had given relaxation in the syllabus for both classes due to the closure of educational institutes owing to COVID-19 induced lockdown. (Kashmir Life)
