After Pulwama, a youth starts Milk ATM service in Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 12 After the first Milk ATM installed in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district,
a young man has opened another outlet in Baghat area of Srinagar.
Danish Rafi Masoodi, a B. Tech Civil Engineer, after completing his studies in 2018,
said rather than applying for a job, he decided to start his own business.
“After completing my studies. I explored some options for business besides making some more preparations for further studies.
However I had already made my mind that I won’t go for a job and start a business,” Masoodi said while speaking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Masoodi said they have a chilling and collection centre in Newa area of district Pulwama where they have a direct tie-up with dairy farms and producers.
“After the milk is tested, the milk goes to end-user through Milk ATMs which is attached with the milk cooler keeping milk at 4°C,” he said.
“We also have consumers registered with us to whom we have home delivery service.”
For home delivery, Masoodi said they are using ‘Milk Delivery Van’ is also installed with an insulated tank and automatic dispenser.
“The purpose of this Initiative is to give quality and tested milk to consumers, after the collections we test the milk and then only we give go-ahead for distribution,” he said.
“I also want to make a chain of Milk ATMs and expand the operations in the valley,” Masoodi said—(KNO)
