16-yr-old writer from Kulgam adds his name in Asian Education Award
Kulgam, May 18: A youth from remote Damhal Hanjipora belt of southern Kashmir has received prestigious Asian Education Award (AEA) for his writing.
Fazil Zahoor (16) son of Zahoor Ahmad Naik a resident of Chimmer Noorabad in Kulgam district of South Kashmir has so far written one book and co-authored over 50 books.
Fazil Zahoor told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that he has passionate about writing since his childhood and started writing when he was in class 8th.
Fazil, who studies in class 11, said that he is very happy that he has received this award along with a title, young writer of the year.
“In my book “The Real Truth”, I have mentioned that our rights have been snatched and how the voice of people are being suppressed,” he said. “The public opinion shouldn’t be restricted and people must be given right to express their opinion freely.”
He said that wars have devastated the societies but everyone must get opportunity to express opinion about anything.
Fazil said that hardwork, consistency and struggle are part of life and nothing can be achieved without it. He added that he has co-authored over 50 books and is writing more books, articles on different aspects and issues of the Kashmiri society—(KNO)
