Tea seller’s son from Handwara cracks JKAS

Tea seller’s son from Handwara cracks JKAS

A son of a late tea seller from Udipora village of Handwara in north Kashmir has qualified for the prestigious JKAS exam with a 180 rank in his second attempt.

Speaking to RK Aabid Hussian Lone said his father wanted to see him as an administrator, and he kept chasing his father’s dream of becoming an administrator. He said my father was selling tea near the district hospital in Handwara and was running our house. He went on to say that he died two years ago, and my mother took on all the responsibilities, so I never felt I had no father.

Hussain said that despite poverty, he didn’t let his dreams go, and with the help of his sisters and relatives, he qualified for the examination. Poverty can never be an obstacle; if one has dreams to chase, he just needs to work hard and keep faith in almighty Allah. Hussain added. (RK)
